Joining Hostelling International Membership Card and European Youth Card
Hostelling International offers a 10% discount on accommodation in more then 4000 youth hostels around the world and many more benefits, and institution SLOAM, Agencija za mlade who offers young people between 15 and 30 years of age more than 60,000 discount all around Europe, have made an agreement to join both of the membership cards. The young from Slovenia are able to get all the discounts from both MOBIN and Hostelling International membership cards since September 2018.
Both non-governmental organizations are primarily active on the fields of mobility and activation of the young to think socially responsible. They are aware that communication via smart technology cannot substitute the personal contacts, as well as watching movies and photographs will not substitute the magic of travelling. The organization will still work separately on the programmes of youth work but will prepare many initiatives together that will reach more than 70,000 young people, aged between 15 and 30, which is a fifth of all young people in Slovenia.
Slovenia has become the first country in Europe where the separate organizations, members of European Card Association (EYCA) and Hostelling International (HI), decided to issue a joint unified card.
